Those people who are not governed by God will be ruled by tyrants. -- William Penn

Cal Says It All!

1 Thessalonians 5:3
For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

Good morning. It is another beautiful day in Georgia and I have just had a wonderful time observing 5 little hummingbirds enjoying the nectar we have hanging on our porch. They are so precious. I think the Lord took special care to create that little species of bird and they are fascinating to watch. Did you know that those little birds expend so much energy in a day that they must consume up to half their body weight in food daily. I also understand that the Aztec’s would make beautiful coats out of the feathers of these little creatures and that they were quite beautiful. Of course they did not have PETA to contend with back then so there was no problem of having to be politically correct! Oh well, history is not always a pretty thing and I would not advise anyone trying to collect our little birds for feathers either. Me and two Great Danes plus two Yorkies and a Whose-it named Daisy would try and discourage the efforts! Well now for the news.

Today I stumbled upon a great article by Cal Thomas. It was in the Jerusalem Review and was quite interesting. Ever heard of the term “useful idiot”? Me either but now I know from whence it came and how some in our government might fit in to the term.

Anyone watching Colin Powell, Condi Rice, and our State Department playing around with this Palestinian bunch must be wondering what in the world are they thinking. More so, isn’t it strange how they have drawn our President into the game. This roadmap is a disaster for Israel and anyone who really thinks it is going to work is not invited to sit on my porch! Oh Well, it is just another link in the chain of Bible prophecy and its fulfillment.

We have heard the term Peace and Safety before and those words were spoken and recorded in the Book of Books. All of mans attempts at peace in the Middle East will ultimately fail and the world will watch our Lord descend from heaven to the Mount of Olives. That mountain is going to split in two and then the Lord will march into Jerusalem as true King of Kings and Lord of Lords! Forgive me, I am getting ahead of myself because a lot has to happen before that glorious day. So, back to the term we were discussing. Hope you enjoy Cal’s article.

Have a blessed day and a safe and Happy Fourth of July!

Elaine

Useful idiots in the Middle East
By Cal Thomas

The Bush administration now proposes to pay "protection money" to the Palestinian Authority in amounts that would make even the Mafia blush with embarrassment

http://www.jewishworldreview.com Communism had its "useful idiots." These were people who believed whatever Communists said and were helpful in advancing their cause.

In the Middle East, the enemies of Israel, the United States and all things Jewish, Christian and Western have far more useful idiots than Communists ever counted on. These are the people who refuse to believe what they are repeatedly told and see in bloody streets, in mosques, in political literature and in schools where children are taught to hate and to be "martyrs" before they are potty-trained.

In the matter of the "road map" to "peace" between Israel and her mortal enemies, we are seeing the usual razzle-dazzle. Elected Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon stands by appointed Palestinian "Prime Minister" Mahmoud Abbas, who mimics Sharon in his Western-style suit. Both men make pronouncements required of them by their American puppeteer. The useful idiots think Abbas and his band of bloody brothers will play the lion lying down with the Israeli lamb.

In the midst of all of the photo-ops and feel-good diplomacy comes a sober and welcome word from someone the useful idiots no doubt will regard as a skunk at their party. Israel's former Minister of Internal Security Uzi Landau told Israeli Radio that Israel should set a timetable with dates for clearly defined and measurable Palestinian actions regarding security. These would include, he said, collecting weapons, outlawing terror organizations, unifying Palestinian Authority security groups in one group and ending incitement against Israel, which requires, among other things, the removal of regional maps that do not show Israel on them and elimination of anti-Israel textbooks from Palestinian schools.

These seem like reasonable requests if the Palestinian side is sincere about ending decades of war. More than words and signed documents ought to be required. Israel is being pressured to give up more land. When it has done so before, the gestures have not brought Israel closer to peace but allowed for more war to be made from the relinquished territory in order that more territory might be gained on the road to Israel's obliteration. Such remains the stated goal oozing from every Palestinian pore.

The German philosopher Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel said, "What experience and history teach is this -- that people and governments never have learned anything from history, or acted on principles deduced from it." Useful idiots continue to accept new promises built on a foundation of previously broken promises.
This is what makes them useful. It is also what makes them idiots.

Israel has waited in vain for Palestinian deeds to live up to their words, agreements, covenants, promises and pledges. At what point should it be concluded that the Palestinian leadership and so many of their people have a definition of peace that begins and ends with the annihilation and elimination of Israel?

We hear about "enemies of peace" who would destroy the "peace process." Peace, like happiness, is not an objective to be pursued. Peace and happiness are byproducts of nations deciding they will study war no more and lay down their arms and hostile intentions.
The Bush administration now proposes to pay "protection money" to the Palestinian Authority in amounts that would make even the Mafia blush with embarrassment. Until now, the United States has provided aid only to social service projects that don't support the Palestinian Authority (PA) in areas controlled by the PA. That unaudited aid totaled $100 million annually until it was increased this year to $200 million. It was restricted to social services because of the PA's record of misappropriating the funds and sponsoring terrorism. According to The New York Times (July 1), the administration now plans to provide hundreds of millions of dollars directly to the PA.

Morton Klein, national president of the Zionist Organization of America, said, "It is appalling that a president who has vowed to put an end to terrorist regimes around the world now plans to give U.S. taxpayers' dollars directly to a corrupt terrorist regime."

Why should the enemies of Israel (and America) disarm when they can get the United States to subsidize their murderous ways? This makes the United States the biggest and most useful idiot in history, which in its secular mindset does not understand the depth of the Palestinians' "religious mandate" or their commitment to fulfilling a prophecy of their own making.

Pat Buchanan's article confirms it again!

Good morning all from sunny Georgia! Did yesterday's article leave you as distressed as I was. Well here is an article written by Pat Buchanan for World Net Daily and he confirms what we all know. Now I do not always agree with Pat but in this article, he has hit the nail on the head!

The people in this country are going to have to rise up and take their country back from the hands of Leftist. They are determined to shove their agenda down our throats and push us into the New World Order. I do not care if it is Republican or Democrat. The more they shout out what we want to hear, the more they through trickery and outright unconstitutional means force all that we oppose down on us. Whether it is Unconstitutional and communistic income taxes, abortion, the homosexual agenda, support for ungodly art and on and on, we the people are being forced to pay for their agenda through taxes and silence. They march on little by little wiping out every God given right we have. There is an answer. It is We the People! That is what they fear and they know that we are waking up. May God give us time to turn our country around.

You may be asking, Elaine, how can I help? You can begin by joining We the People today and begin to learn about what is happening and how we can begin to turn this country back to God and truth.

Sincerely

What The Court Betrayals Portend

By Pat Buchanan

World Net Daily.Com

Last week's Supreme Court decisions, allowing states to use racial preferences to promote blacks and striking down the Texas anti-sodomy law, testify to three decades of failure of Republican presidents to restore that court to constitutionalism.

Anyone who still thinks this court is conservative deludes himself and deceives those people who have voted, again and again, to stop these renegade justices from imposing their ideology upon our society.

Consider. Of the nine sitting justices today, seven were nominated by Republicans. Two of the seven, John Paul Stevens, named by Ford, and David Souter, a Bush I nominee, voted not only to strike down the sodomy laws of every state, but to permit 20 points to be added to the score of black high-school students applying to the University of Michigan.

But it was Sandra Day O'Connor, the first Reagan nominee, whose performance would have broken the heart of the president who thought he was naming a conservative champion of the Constitution.

In the 5-4 ruling upholding affirmative action, O'Connor held that race discrimination against whites at Michigan Law School is permissible, if the goal is the "compelling state interest" of "diversity." "We expect," said O'Connor, "that 25 years from now the use of racial preferences will no longer be necessary."

Yet another generation of white kids can thus be kept out of state schools to which they should have been admitted based on achievement and ability alone. This is what now passes for equal justice under law.

The decision striking down the Texas anti-sodomy law was 6-3, with Clinton nominees Stephen Breyer and Ruth Bader Ginsburg joined by Stevens, Souter, O'Connor and Reagan nominee Anthony Kennedy.

In the Texas decision, the Court overturned a 17-year-old precedent and tossed out the laws of almost a dozen states to create a constitutional right to engage in homosexual acts. What James Madison never saw in the U.S. Constitution which he wrote, and 12 generations of jurists never found, this pair – Kennedy and O'Connor – discovered.

The Court has now virtually stripped states of the power to legislate in the realm of sexual morality. By creating a right of consenting adults to engage in homosexual acts, the Court has also put in jeopardy all state laws against incest, gay marriage, prostitution and pedophilia, assuming the youngster consents.

At "Gay Pride" festivals this past week, there was anticipated rejoicing, underscoring Justice Antonin Scalia's barbed comment that the court has thrown off all judicial restraint and joined the culture war.

Of greater import, however, was the reaction among the politicians. When the decisions came down, Democrats hailed both, though neither the "gay"-rights agenda nor affirmative action is popular with a majority of Americans.

When the decision permitting racial preferences for 25 more years was handed down, Democratic Party Chairman Terry McAuliffe and candidates Gephardt, Kerry, Edwards and Lieberman all celebrated it.

What was President Bush's reaction? This mushy statement of resignation: "I applaud the Supreme Court for recognizing the value of diversity on our nation's campuses. Diversity is one of America's greatest strengths. Today's decision seeks a careful balance between the goal of campus diversity and the fundamental principle of equal treatment under law."

Democrats were also jubilant over the O'Connor 6-3 ruling that struck down the Texas law President Bush had defended as governor. But the White House went dark, and silent.

What do these decisions and reactions tell us? Not only is the Supreme Court lost to conservatism and constitutionalism, it has, like the Warren Court before it, become an active belligerent against Middle America in the social and culture wars between Christianity and secularism on one side and tradition and modernism on the other.

The Court neither respects nor trusts majority rule. It assumes its own moral superiority and right to impose its values upon a society it deems too retarded to see the light. The GOP Congress and Republican Party have not the will nor desire to confront it. As for President Bush, like his father before him, he is a conscientious objector in the culture war.

When a battle is engaged, invariably, this administration turns up AWOL. Where, then, do the people turn? One place is to Ward Connerly, who intends to petition to put on the Michigan ballot a referendum stating simply that, in hiring, firing and admissions to state schools, there shall be no discrimination and no preferential treatment based on race.

With the Democratic Party arrayed against it, and the GOP unreliable allies, Middle America must start looking to itself to find the leaders to take back a country taken away from them, undemocratically, by a renegade Supreme Court that Republicans are no longer even trying to rein in.

Re-Thinking Romans 13
By Greg A. Dixon © 2001 WorldNetDaily.com

In recent years, Christians have interpreted Romans 13 as a
command for unlimited submission to government by God. Many proponents of this belief have sat passively by, in the soft pews of their place of worship, while evil has triumphed in most areas of family and church life. In our pacifistic smugness, many have allowed government to become god without even knowing.

Yet, when confronted with the true meaning of Romans 13, absurd accusations are shouted in religious rhetoric toward those who would dare to break an unjust law or even to question the almighty government. The opponents of unlimited submission to government are deemed as rebellious, anarchist and disobedient. However, there is no practical, historical or biblical consistency in the shallow agreements of these simpletons.

First, unlimited submission to government is not practical. For
a philosophy to be a valid philosophy, it must be consistent. As a
result, it does not make practical sense to blindly obey a tyrant like
Adolph Hitler or deem a law such as abortion-on-demand a legitimate
law just because one's government says it is public policy. However,
if Romans 13 teaches unlimited submission to government, then we must obey and acknowledge all laws, good and bad, as the will of God. If all governments are of God, then all laws are of God. This in not practical from any point of view.

Second, it is not historical. Our founding fathers recognized
and understood tyranny and despotism. They perceived the ultimate end of the king's actions. Thus, they besought George III to relent in his persecutions and implored him to uphold his covenant agreement.

In July of 1774, our forefathers met in Fairfax County, Va., and
considered ways of forcing Great Britain to redress American
grievances. George Washington and George Mason were the instrumental agents in drafting what has come to be known as the "Fairfax Resolves."

Ponder for a moment Resolves five and six:

"Resolved that the claim lately assumed and exercised by the
British Parliament, of making all such Laws as they think fit, to
govern the people of these colonies, contrary to the first Principles
of the Constitution, and the original Compacts by which we are
dependent upon the British Crown and Government; but is totally
incompatible with the privileges of a free people, and the natural
Rights of Mankind; will render our own Legislatures merely nominal and nugatory, and is calculated to reduce us from a state of freedom and happiness to slavery and misery."

"Resolved that Taxation and Representation are in their nature
inseparable; that the right of withholding, or of giving and granting
their own money is the only effectual security to a free people,
against the encroachments of Despotism and Tyranny; and that whenever they yield to one they fall prey to the other."

All of the Resolves are loaded with bullets that explode against
a tyrannical and despotic government. The "shot that was heard around the world on Lexington green was loaded in the "Fairfax Resolves." How can one make that statement? After pleading with George III to uphold his covenant agreement and after seeking for a redress of grievances,
the "coup de grace" is plainly stated in the 23rd Resolve:

"Resolved that it be recommended to the Deputies of the
general Congress to draw up and transmit an humble and dutiful
petition and remonstrance to his Majesty, asserting with decent
firmness our just and constitutional Rights and Privileges, lamenting
the fatal necessity of being compelled to enter into measures
disgusting to his Majesty and his Parliament, or injurious to our
fellow subjects in Great Britain; declaring the strongest terms of
duty and affection to his Majesty's person, family and government, and
our desire to continue our dependence upon Great Britain; and must
humbly beseeching his Majesty, not to reduce his faithful subjects of
America to a state of desperation, and to reflect, that from our
Sovereign there can be but one appeal."

In simple terms, the Resolves offered George III two obvious
choices. One was to fulfill his covenant obligations and be the king
and ruler to the American Colonies that he had agreed to be or,
second, to prepare for war. George III was asked to reflect upon the
fact, that if he did not keep his end of the covenant, there could "be
but one appeal."

Last --and most important -- it is not biblical. Daniel
disobeyed Darius and went to the lions den. The three Hebrew children
broke the law for not bowing. The parents hid baby Moses from Pharaoh.
Rahab lied to protect the Hebrew spies. The Apostles went to prison
for preaching
Christ in the authority of Heaven. Paul and his followers in Acts 17
did contrary to all the decrees of Caesar in order to make Jesus the
King. Even Jesus lived in direct opposition of the political religious
leaders of his day and went to the cross for us.

Romans 13 is a treatise by Paul and the Apostles on the
institution of model government. As we rightly divide the word of
truth and take this passage in its total context, we will discover
seven truths:

1.. Good government is ordained by God.

2.. Government officials are to be good ministers who represent God.

3.. We the people must obey good and godly laws.

4.. As we relate Romans 13 to America, our Constitution is the higher
power -- not the IRS tax code.

5.. Good government is not to be feared.

6.. In America, we are to pay honor and custom and constitutional
taxes to whom it is due.

7.. Government is to protect the righteous and punish the wicked.

As a result, we have a practical, historical and biblical
mandate to fervently disobey any unconstitutional laws and all
government officials who cease to be good ministers of Jesus Christ.
God almighty is the only power that deserves unlimited obedience.

Temple and has written several columns about the plight of his
congregation.

Just When You Think You Have It All Figured Out!

Matthew 24:22
And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

There is a song I heard on one of the many video's that Bob and I watch. The words go like this:

"Just when you think you have it all figured out, Somebody changes the rules"!

Well with all of the cognitive dissonance going round, the rules are changing so fast that it makes my head swim. How about you? The roadmap, sodomy laws, the war, North Korea, The UN and on and on.

Well sure enough we can bet this is not just happening. Have you like me figured that one out? There is a master plan going on here and the key is to get the people so sick of all the chaos that they either don't know what to fight next or they lay down and give up. Have you felt that way lately?

Just look at what the Supreme Court has done to us. This ruling last week has opened up a Pandora's box. We have been sold out again! This time the great and mighty Supreme Court has gone against the majority and ruled for homosexuals and sodomy et cetera, et' cetera. The sad thing is that this ruling is not based on the Constitution but on the feelings of some politically correct judges. See the danger here? Why it won't be long before the Word of God is banned on Bill Boards like it was in Canada. Someone had the audacity to post a quote from Romans Chapter 1 and it "offended some poor person". The powers that be in Canada ruled that the Word of God had to go.

In reality, the Supreme Court has ruled against the Supreme God of the Universe and His Word once again. With this ruling, I believe the door has been opened for every type of filth and vileness to be made acceptable and protected under US Law. Along with the ruling comes another loss of protection from our Lord who calls this lifestyle an abomination! I believe that if we the people of this country do not rise up in outrage at what our political leaders and judges are doing, then soon we are all going to face the judgement of our Creator who blessed us in the first place with our great country.

Our scripture verse today tells us that one day it is going to be so bad that God himself has to intervene and shorten the days. He is going to do that for his elect and when he does the world will witness the worst time in it's history. However, he will save his elect out of what is coming. Praise the Lord! My one prayer is that he comes back soon to gather His church out of here! Perhaps it will be today!

P.S. Watch the developments on the Roadmap and Jerusalem. We are witnessing Bible Prophecy in action! What an exciting time to be a Christian!

God Bless
Elaine

America's new Politburo

By Joseph Farah @ World Net Daily.Com

Why do we need state legislatures? Why do we need local elections?

To make laws reflecting the values and standards of sovereign states and diverse communities throughout America?

Nonsense.

We don't need them any more. The U.S. Supreme Court invalidated them last week. It determined that nine unelected men and women in black robes are wiser than the people. It determined, by a 6-3 vote, that all we need is a "living Constitution" that can only be interpreted by the all-knowing, all-seeing, semi-divine arbiters of right and wrong. It determined that lawmakers and representative government are irrelevant.

That's what the court did Thursday when, for all intents and purposes, it found hidden in the Constitution a new right – a right to practice homosexual sex.

The author of the majority opinion, Justice Anthony M. Kennedy, said the Texas law struck down by the court "demeans the lives of homosexual persons."

"The state cannot demean their existence or control their destiny by making their private sexual conduct a crime," he wrote.

Oh, no? It may not have been the most sensibly crafted state law on the books, but to say laws about private sexual conduct are unconstitutional, the court, in effect, opened a sexual Pandora's box.

If there is a constitutional right to have homosexual sex, how can one deny there is a constitutional right to group sex? How can one deny there is a constitutional right to consensual incest? How can one deny there is a right to have sex with animals? How can one deny there is a constitutional right to polygamy?

You can't. There is no difference. And that's why there is no constitutional right to homosexual sex – or any other kind of sex for that matter. The word sex doesn't appear in the Constitution. It is a subject not addressed – which is, under the Constitution, precisely why it is a matter left to the various states.

But that's not the way it will be in America in the future. As of last week, we have a new reigning Politburo governing all of America. We have nine infallible, lifetime, unaccountable rulers who know better than the people, better than the states, better than the legislators.

Just 17 years ago, the Supreme Court ruled quite differently on the matter. Then, Chief Justice Warren Burger, hardly a social conservative, wrote "in constitutional terms there is no such thing as a fundamental right to commit homosexual sodomy."

"Decisions of individuals relating to homosexual conduct have been subject to state intervention throughout the history of Western Civilization," Burger wrote. "Condemnation of those practices is firmly rooted in Judeo-Christian moral and ethical standards."

He noted that Sir William Blackstone "described 'the infamous crime against nature' as an offense of 'deeper malignity' than rape, a heinous act 'the very mention of which is a disgrace to human nature,' and 'a crime not fit to be named.' To hold that the act of homosexual sodomy is somehow protected as a fundamental right would be to cast aside millennia of moral teaching."

That's right. And that's just what Burger's successors on the court did. They substituted political correctness for the Constitution. They substituted their feelings for the rule of law. They imposed their own personal convictions and sense of morality on an entire nation – and told the people to go jump in a lake.

This opinion bears striking resemblance to an earlier court decision still hotly debated 30 years later – Roe v. Wade. There, too, the justices acted as super-legislators rather than slaves of the Constitution.

As Justice Antonin Scalia explained it, the court "has taken sides in the culture war." He added, "The court has largely signed on to the so-called homosexual agenda."

Homosexual marriage? Homosexual adoption? How can the court say no? It's just a matter of time before all state laws prohibiting them are struck down using the same logic – or illogic – used by the current court.

Unless, of course, the Supreme Court is reconstituted with a majority of members who respect and honor the oaths they take to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States.
