1 Thessalonians 5

1 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.
2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child;
and they shall not escape

24 Hours And Counting!

The word is out now after the conference in the Azores with the United States, Great Britain and Spain. 24 Hours! The UN has done nothing and has not assumed its "responsibility". We are probably going in after Sadaam Hussein. If this occurs, it will be on the 18th of March which will be Bob and my 26th Wedding Anniversary. In all my life I never knew that we would witness these end time events so dramatically. The United States is going after Iraq (Babylon) and along with that mission, word is now that the plans for Israel and the Palestinians are still moving forward. The United States through a CFR State Department, is going to negotiate the giving away of lands given by God to Israel in Covenant. Our government has not heeded the warnings of becoming embroiled in this affair and I pray that it will wake up before we anger our Heavenly Father. Now is the time to pray and pray and pray for America.

Some friends of mine, The Murphy's, shared a verse with me a long time ago that say's, I don't know what the future may hold but I know who holds the future. What will happen when we go to war? Only our God really knows the truth. Because of those who have been lax in our governemnt and I am convinced really hate this country, we have terrorist ready and waiting to inflict harm in our nation. I believe that one of the major reasons judgement has not already fallen on us is because of Israel and our support there.

It is still the time to keep your eyes on Israel and Jerusalem. Sadaam will probably sling missles into that tiny country just as he did 10 years ago. The world stage is being set up and all that is needed is for the major players to begin their roles in this endtime scenario. Hold on and prayerfully listen for the trumpet sound it could happen at any moment!

God Bless
Elaine

Bush Ties Palestinian State To Iraq War
The Devil is In the Details - Literally
Israel - Middle East
Saturday, March 15, 2003
Jack Kinsella - Omega Letter Editor

President Bush made concurrent announcements Friday that signaled two things. The first means that the government of Saddam Hussein will be history soon, whether the UN likes it or not. The second announcement may signal the same thing for Israel, which somehow is at the heart of every global issue -- exactly as the Bible said it would be, in the last days.

President Bush announced a last-ditch summit with Britain and Spain in the Azores. The announcement of the summit is a clear signal that the diplomatic process is over. And that the war is about to begin.

Bush's second announcement was a pledge to release the "road map" soon that he says will lead to a final Israeli-Palestinian peace settlement. He stopped short of calling it a a 'final settlement to the Jewish question' but in the end, that is just about what it amounts to.

First, Iraq. The summit, in the remote Azores islands, is expected to pave the way for war, because the three leaders have now concluded that they almost certainly will not be able to win sufficient backing for a U.N. resolution authorizing the use of force against Iraq.

The United States, Britain and Spain will still lobby hard behind the scenes during the next 48 hours for votes. But the administration is increasingly likely to pull the resolution altogether rather than even going for a vote to make a point.

The United States has gradually lost the psychological edge in recent days, U.N. envoys say, because of three events: France's declared intention to veto sapped the interest of small countries to stand with Washington. The Turkish parliament refused U.S. troops. And Mexico and Chile have so far balked at providing the votes that might have cemented the necessary nine votes for the resolution.

Barring a last-minute turnaround at the Security Council, the Azores summit is expected to be followed quickly by a U.S. ultimatum to President Saddam Hussein to go into exile -- or face the consequences.

"We are in the end game for U.N. diplomacy," National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice said Friday in an interview with Al Jazeera, the Arab world's most popular TV network. "A moment of truth is coming soon, and that's what the leaders are going to meet to discuss in the Azores."

The announcement of the Azores summit came at the same time that the Pentagon began moving about 10 Navy warships out of the Mediterranean into the Red Sea, where they can launch missiles at Iraq without flying over Turkey.

Turkey refused to allow the US to use its country as a base for launching operations in northern Iraq, attempting to get Washington to sweeten the six billion dollar toll fee it offered Ankara to let the US operate from their territory.

The Turkish parliament voted down the US offer by a majority so slim it even surprised the Turks, most of whose leadership had hoped the measure would pass, but didn't want to appear to be to eager to help.

Turkey's new leader, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, favors the deployment and cooperation with Washington.

Erdogan could re-submit a motion on troops to parliament as early as this morning. But party sources said he would probably first push for formal approval of his government.

The US is running out of patience as quickly as it is running out of time.

The Pentagon has begun implementing 'Plan B' and has started moving the ships loaded with troops and war materiel that have been waiting offshore down the Suez Canal to make the trip around Saudi Arabia and into the Persian Gulf.

Those are important clues that the decision has been made, the date set, and that the White House has decided that the UN is irrelevant factually, as well as rhetorically.

But the announcement that is the clearest signal that war with Iraq is about to begin is the administrations announcement in the same breath that it intends to jump-start peace efforts on the Arab-Israeli conflict.

The administration insisted that its abrupt action was not connected to Iraq in any way but was instead produced by the confluence of three factors: Israel has formed a new government after January elections; the Palestinian Authority is soon to put in place a new prime minister, weakening the autocratic control of Yasser Arafat; and the so-called quartet -- the United States, the European Union, the United Nations and Russia -- had formulated a road map for peace.

In point of fact, Israel is the bargaining chip being tossed on the table to keep Spain and Britain onboard right up until the last card in the game has been dealt.

British Prime Minister Tony Blair and Spanish Prime Minister Jose Marie Aznar have both badly needed a U.S. commitment to act on the other, older Middle East conflict before they take the last step on Iraq.

But so do the Arab 'allies' and others among the two dozen nations that administration sources say are willing to play some role in a U.S.-led war to oust Saddam.

In the natural, this makes less than no sense at all. Yasser Arafat is a terrorist, and any Palestinian state that emerges as a consequence of a forced settlement will simply be another Iraq-in-waiting.

Arafat's 'appointment' of a prime minister is a smokescreen -- Arafat kept all the real power for himself, creating a mirror image of what had been demanded. The US and Israel wanted a prime minister's office as head of state and a figurehead presidency. Arafat created a figurehead prime minister instead.

This new Palestinian State would be populated by the same Palestinians who cheered the carnage on 9/11 -- the same Palestinians who support Hamas, the same Palestinians who have taught the entire last generation of students that Israel is a temporary occupier of Palestinian lands that they will one day push into the sea.

Granting them statehood means either the end of Israel, or the beginning of a new Iraq-type scenario.

It is a betrayal, although Sharon hasn't yet completely caught on to the strategy. But it is entirely consistent with Bible prophecy.

The prophet Zechariah lived hundreds of years after the Northern Kingdom of Israel was destroyed. In his day, the existence of a state of Israel was already ancient history. Yet he confidently predicted a restored Israel -- and the conflict it would have with the rest of the world over its tiny capital of Jerusalem.

Of the time just before the return of the Messiah, Zechariah wrote; "And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it." (Zechariah 12:3)

The world is, at the moment, completely absorbed by the danger of a war against Iraq, with another potential war with a nuclear North Korea waiting in the wings.

Every civilized nation on earth is a potential target for the al-Qaeda terrorist network and the liklihood of a major nuclear conflict looms large on the horizon.

Israel was not involved in the last Gulf War. The Israelis have no effective voice at the UN apart from that of the United States when it speaks on their behalf.

From the day they were reborn in 1948 they have never threatened any state outside their own borders. They have declared no war against any state that didn't first declare war on them and they have only taken that war outside the borders long enough to win it.

All the territory they took by conquest has been returned, with the exception of the territories of the West Bank they conquered from Jordan and the Gaza Strip conquered from Egypt in a war in which the Israelis were NOT the aggressors.

And Jordan doesn't WANT the West Bank back. Ditto for Egypt and the Gaza Strip. Israel's only territorial dispute is with a people who never existed prior to 1967 over a mythical Palestinian state that never existed in history.

Against this backdrop, the only way the United States can get any measure of support for taking out one of the most reprehensible and dangerous dictators of this generation is by exposing Israel's jugular to a people in their midst whose intentions for their continued existence is unquestionable and well-documented and whose most defining national characteristic is their unwavering support for terror attacks against Israeli civilian targets like buses, markets and schools.

Apart from merely existing, what role does Israel have to play in Persian Gulf War One OR Two?

This is a nation that did NOT exist for 2500 years. Except as a distinct and peculiar people whose only national characteristic was perpetual persecution and a confidence that one day God would bring them back into their own land.

So, while in the natural, it makes no sense, in the supernatural, it makes perfect sense that no matter what the international conflict, regardless of who the players are, and in spite of Israel's total non-involvement, it still all boils down to Jerusalem.

And how to take it away from the Jews and give it to the Arabs who never particularly wanted it until after the Jews began flooding back during the first half of the last century.

Let this sink in for a second. This is a scenario that could never have been possible prior to this generation.

As you think on these things, recall the words of our Lord Jesus Christ: "And when these things BEGIN to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh." (Luke 21:28)

Watch closely as Washington's road map for peace develops.

The devil is in the details. Literally.

If you do not know my Jesus you can today. The scripture says:

Romans 10
12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Call out to Him today and ask him to forgive your sins, to come into your heart and save you and upon the authority of the scriptures, you will be saved.

ARE YOU READY FOR THE RAPTURE?
